Obviously it's a violent movie, but it didn't really feel excessive. It does have a tendency to linger on certain scenes a little too long (an attack on a village in the beginning seems to go on forever, as does a trek to a city,) but overall, it's a satisfying and interesting experience and a worthwhile rental, at least. As much as I hate to admit it (since this movie's directed and co-written by Mel Gibson,) I really liked this movie. Great chase scenes in the last half hour as well. Extremely immersing experience with music and sound effects that completely bring this world to life. It literally feels like you're being transported to another world. Forget the fact that Mel Gibson made it.this is a great movie.
